About Katherine Pogson

Katherine Pogson creates hand-made leather accessories in limited editions and to commission.

Since setting up her studio in 2000 Katherine has gained a reputation for thoughtful design combining elements of traditional craft such as saddle-stitching and moulding with her own repertoire of surface manipulation techniques to create durable contemporary pieces with a strong signature style.

Clients have included Mulberry Home, Donna Karan, Priestman Goode, Molton Brown and Hussein Chalayan.

In 2011, Katherine became a Queen Elizabeth Scholar winning a QEST scholarship to study aspects of digital print and design to enrich her hand-made work.

Over the past ten years Katherine has built up a reputation as a teacher of leather accessories design, pattern-cutting and production techniques and runs short courses at Designer Courses.

Her book Complete Leatherwork was published by Collins and Brown in 2009.
